Privacy policy

What this site collects, why it collects it, who sees it, and how long it is kept.

Effective

Demonstration platform

RWA oa is a pre-launch concept and this site is a demonstration platform. It holds no Australian Financial Services Licence, makes no offer of any financial product, and every asset, entity, document and figure shown is fictional and illustrative.

01Scope of this policy

This policy explains how RWA oa Pty Ltd handles personal information collected through this site, and is written to sit within the framework of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Because the site is a concept demonstration, the collections described are limited to what a visitor supplies and what the site needs to operate.

02Information collected

Contact information supplied through a form on this site: name, email address, and the message or preferences you choose to include. Technical information generated by using the site: IP address, browser user-agent, session identifiers and security events. No information is bought from data brokers, and no third-party advertising or analytics trackers are used.

Draft wording. Not yet reviewed by counsel.

03How information is used

To respond to enquiries, to operate and secure the site, to keep records of correspondence, and to comply with legal obligations. Personal information is not sold, is not disclosed for advertising, and is not used for any purpose unconnected with the reason it was collected without consent.

Draft wording. Not yet reviewed by counsel.

04Wholesale verification records

In a live platform, verifying an investor’s qualification under s708 of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) would require sensitive material: an accountant’s certificate, evidence of assets or income, or entity documents. That material would be collected only when needed, held under access controls, and retained for the statutory period. It is not collected through this demonstration site, and it should never be sent through a form on it.

Draft wording. Not yet reviewed by counsel.

05Disclosure to third parties

Personal information may be disclosed to service providers that host and operate the site’s infrastructure, and to professional advisers or authorities where reasonably necessary or required by law. Each provider is bound by confidentiality obligations and may use the information only for the service it provides.

Draft wording. Not yet reviewed by counsel.

06Retention

Correspondence sent through the contact form is stored as a record and kept: no scheduled deletion or de-identification runs on this demonstration site, so a message stays until it is removed by hand. Security events are not kept for a shorter window: the audit log is append-only, with update and deletion blocked by a database trigger and revoked from the application role, because it is the compliance record. Nothing submitted through the expression-of-interest form on this site is retained at all: that form has no endpoint, so the details are held in the browser for the page view only and are gone on reload.

Draft wording. Not yet reviewed by counsel.

07Security

Access to any information collected is restricted and audited, transport is encrypted, sessions are held server-side and can be revoked, and uploads are validated before acceptance. No system is perfectly secure. Where a data breach is likely to result in serious harm, notification would be made in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

Draft wording. Not yet reviewed by counsel.

08Access, correction and complaints

You may ask for access to the personal information held about you and for its correction, and identity may need to be confirmed before a request is actioned. Complaints about the handling of personal information can be made through the contact form on this site, marked "Privacy" in the subject, and, if unresolved, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Draft wording. Not yet reviewed by counsel.

09Overseas disclosure

Infrastructure supporting this site may be located outside Australia. Where personal information is disclosed to an overseas recipient, reasonable steps would be taken to ensure that recipient handles it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

10Changes and contact

This policy may be updated by publishing a revised version on this page with a new effective date. Questions, access requests and corrections can be sent through the contact form on this site, marked "Privacy" in the subject. It is the only channel published, and there is no postal address or named privacy officer to write to.
